It had always been my dream to be President of the Law College, even whilst still in High School. This desire was borne after seeing my uncle’s great accomplishments during his time as President.
I carried that dream with me even after I got admitted into the College. I made my intentions known and carried and structured myself and actions in such a manner as would make my dream a reality.
At the penultimate level came the elections and I had two others contesting with me. Unshaken, I carried out my campaigns and dished out my manifesto boldly at every opportunity I had.
On the D-day, votes were cast. I felt shivers down my spines as the results were called out. In that moment, a friend held my hand and whispered, “its gonna be okay”. Soon after, the results were announced and the College had a new President, ME!!!
